Default FS: '98 Jetta GT....

Alright I need to sell the mk3. I have a new car lined up now and need the money from this to put towards it.

It’s a ’98 Jetta GT 2.0/5spd, currently has 141,800 on the clock (bought with 140k). Car was stock ride height and not modified when purchased. The car recently had some maintenance done (around the beginning of September, when I bought the car) to make it a reliable daily. Which it has been, Ive driven this car to both Naples and Orlando with out a hiccup.

The car has had the timing belt, waterpump, thermostat, distributor cap, plugs and plug wires, valve cover/intake manifold gasket, ignition switch all done since buying it. The car will have a fresh oil change when bought and the coolant system was flushed when the maintenance was done. All the shift linkage has been replaced except for the bushing/spring part directly under the shifter (I have the part, just not the time). I know there has to be some stuff I’m forgetting but I'll update as it comes to my mind. The car also has JOM coils that were installed at the same time. Its slightly lowered but not to the point where you have to be careful driving down the road. The previous owner (a very good friend) said the brakes and clutch had been replaced within the last year. The interior is black and is super clean for a mk3, I don’t have any pics right now but Ill try to get some up tomorrow morning. Numerous people can vouch that its clean.

Now unfortunately the car isn’t perfect…. It’s a mk3.

Id say the biggest issue that come to mind is the paint fade on the roof, its pretty weathered. The hood and trunk are on their way out too. The rear bumper isn’t clipped in full on the passenger side, the e-brake cables need to be replaced ($30 in parts at the most), has a pretty gnarly exhaust leak at the suitcase muffler (yet again, easy fix… take it to a muffler shop or weld it yourself). Also the a/c just needs to be recharged, compressor kicks on and everything (not really needed at this point in the year but figured I'd let you know)….That’s pretty much all I can think of right now… Im at work and don’t have the car in front of me but Ill go over it when I get home and list anything else the car might need. So as you can see, the only reason this car has any real issues is due to my lack of time to dedicate to the car.

Now I’m looking to get $2500 OBO, that means im open to offers…. So if you don’t like the price and are seriously considering buying the car P.M me an offer. Also I do not want trades, just an outright sale. Any questions, just ask.

Now unfortunately these are the only pictures that I have currently of the car.
