In the market for a MK2 Golf, GTI, or Jetta. Prefer a hatchback but would consider a Jetta.

I may consider a MK3 Golf or Jetta (Trek or K2) as well...but only a 2.0l.

Needs to be a 5-speed with working AC. Need the vehicle to be mechanically sound (i.e. it runs, has been maintenanced, and isn't on the verge of needing serious mechanical work). Not looking for a project car or one with backyard electrical work, but don't mind if it is a bit rough around the edges.

Well the Passat is gone so the search is going into hyper-active mode.

Pretty much looking for any solid MK2 or MK3 5-speed cars. Needs to be in good mechanical condition with no major issues.

Let me know what you have or if you see anything locally. If you direct me to a nice car and I buy it...I'll buy you a beer. How sweet is that?
