as far as the trans.....ive located on local for around 250-300....lmk if thats cool, or pm me with what u lookin to get for it.....also.....the transfer case...is it one of those BS awd or is it actually a trans case which u can engage 2wd/4wd....thanks

this dude is asking $75 for this one, bout half way up this thread.

84-01 XJs came with two transfer cases, the NP242 (full time option, hung a little lower than the NP231, not as high torque handling), and the NP231 (part time only, tucked up better under the body, will handle SBC-type torque w/o probs)

i know the NP231 is a 2.72:1 low range, not sure about the NP242.
