Default WTB: GTS or SR5 rear end

As title says, I'm looking for a gts or SR5 rear end. The only thing I really need is the differential (third member) assembly. I bought this rear end from a drifting car and it is noisy. It has no clutches, it is all steel. I just need to get my car back to normal (quiet). Im in the pinellas area and my cell number is 727-430-5086. Thank you.

u can't just throw a third member in . all the axle's are different. so you need to make sure u get the right member for the axles that are in yoru car. in a gt-s ae86 there are 4 different 3rd members and 4 different axle sets.

don't ask me how i know all this......

i can sell u the whole rear end out of my 86 gt-s but i have over $2000 in it at this point so it wouldn't be cheap.

and a sr5 third memeber won't work, its smaller and you'd have to change otu the whole rear end. plus sr5 rear's suck. don't waste ur money or time on one.

Thank you for the information. Does anybody knows a shop around here that works on GTS rear end?

You might need to adjust your backlash to quiet it up. Mine is loud as shit with my TRD 2way but I have alot of backlash. For the price you pay for a Weir diff you can just get this Club4AG Forum Topics: ford 8.8 fabbed up and ready to kill (who wants one?) and it will hold more power with lots more aftermarket support. Im fabbing the exact same thing for mine and I'll prolly only have $500 out of pocket after selling my Diff. Thats with Ford racing 4.10 R/P, Eaton helical LSD, Moser 31 spline axles shortened with 4x113 bolt pattern, Wilwood DynaPro 2 piston calipers, and Moser C-clip eliminators.

the problem with any of that 8.8 or mk1 supra diff is the weight. and its all unsprung, which affects the handling and caracter of the car. i'd rather spend the money and not have my car handle like shit. they will put up with alot of power, but it won't feel like an ae86 shoudl feel. which is my i love driving the car in the first place.

I agree about the added weight, ya it sucks, but I really don't foresee the minimal additional weight causing any significant difference to the handling of the car. JSP and Aono have MKI diffs and haven't had any complaints, but we'll see
