finding a stock short block in good working order is like finding a needle in a needle stack. your best bet is getting something and having it reconditioned, or buying one thats already reconditioned.
ive got a shortblock ready to go to the machine shop. ive got 0.020" pistons w/ pins and rings and ARP bottom end bolts. it had rod knock, ive got a spare rod/piston combo to replace it. the crank will need turned, and the machine shop can order the proper sized repalcment bearings.
ARP rod bolts : $50
ARP main studs: $120
Pistons/rings/pins: $400
Short block: $200
machine work should only be $500 for all necessary bottom end prep.
i also have a complete 7M head that was resurfaced, cleaned and leak-tested for $250 if you need one.

i have a full NA engine he can buy and rebuild or prep up or whatever.... its only got 100ish thousand miles on it...

now im a honda guy but im pretty sure there is a difference in a n/a bottom end and turbo correct? if so more then likely he will say no....

ORRRRRRRRR i have a BARE BARE BARE 7m block...and i have the 5 turbo pistons and connecting rods....everything else he wil have to find for himself though ( or i can find it for him pretty easily lol...)
i can mix match etc lol...im just trying to sell this stuff because im moving and dont want to move it all with me lol.
so 300 for the FULL NA engine (the heads from the NA and turbo are EXACTLY the same the exhaust cam is different no biggie) and add 100 bucks for the turbo pistons and rods...
OR
225 for the bare block and the pistons and rods...
