I knew someone was gonna have that reaction. I really like the 85 corolla hatch, I said 80-85 cause I did not know when they started making them like that. I have looked around o the autotrader,collectorcartraderonline.com and ebay but there are not any on there that I like. I just made this post to see if anyone knew something about one for sale. I want to get a rwd car so I was looking at the corolla or an older datsun 510.

anyways the 80-82 came with the 3tc motor and the chassis code is te72
the 84-87 came with the 4age and 4ac motor and the chassis code is ae86.

so i'm guessing you want the ae86.

i got the cleanest 86 corolla gt-s coupe around, but its a coupe and not a hatch.

 

Nah, I am not trying to jump on any band wagon. I have just had a honda since I have been driving, and I want to get a car that was rwd. I was looking at the datsun 510 but the people that are selling them are all over on the west coast and since they are so old most need alot of work done to them. That is kinda far for me to be going for a car right now. I figure I had a better chance at finding a decent corolla over here.

all the people selling thses are all on the west coasttoo. buy bills. cleanest drift ready car around. save ur self the search. look on auto trader again.there are some in florida. u cant limit urself to tampa when looking for rare cars online........u'll never find one.

ur gonna have an extremely hard time finding a good gts. u might be able to find a rusty auto sr5. but a good clean gts will cost u some good money.

good luck with the search, read up on them more. started making them in 84 for the 85 year and the last year was 87.

 

Just buy bill's and save yourself a LOT of time looking.... and waiting..... and looking....... and being dissapointed becasue the one you bought wasnt all it was cracked up to be...
