I've got this WRX in need of a motor and before I spend the money on another one I wanted to get a fell for the market demand and value.
It's SUPER clean and well taken care of.
The oil pump went out and shot the block but everything else looks good including turbo and heads.
ITS AN AUTOMATIC!!!!

After fixing it up i was thinking of asking 7k for it but do you guys think it's doable on an auto?

 

so nobody would consider this as a DD if it had a 2.5 block or a newer 2.0?

I was thinking 7k since the market is still in the 9's for a manual with similar miles.
Since my current WRX is still getting put back together I havent had time to fix this one.

EVERYTHING else is near mint as you can see in the pics. If not I'll see the car as it sits for 2,500 bucks.
even then I think it's a good deal since a full swap can be had for 2500 or less and you have many spare parts left over to sell and make the money back. :shrug:

any interest in trading your hood for the same year/color mint condition non scooped hood + 100$

 

actually yes. I'm not going to be messing with the car for awhile so I could use the extra cash.
i don't mind it.

let me know when you want to come get it. I recommend it since I don't trust shipping companies with stuff like that.

 

Still have the car? Did you ever swap for the no scoop hood? Car located in Tallahassee or elsewhere?

 

update: car is available and new engine with lower miles will be installed. Hood was swapped and will currently have a non WRX hood.
No worries on the ventilation since I will be making vent....unless someone just wants to swap hoods again but i could care less at this point.

car is in excellent condition and actually was never raced nor abused. Oil pump failure killed the bottom end and it was a quick and painful death.

I will be parting out the heads, manifolds, intercooler and misc things.
I'm keeping the turbo.

 

parted out all the stuff and car is running in tip top shape. I've got a hood scoop but it's ok with this cold weather so far.
Car runs great with no check engine codes.
