Default WTB sohc 2.5

I am looking to swap out the 1.8 in my 97 with a sohc ej25. I bought one that was still in a forrester in a junk yard. When it was removed from the car, they saw the block was cracked by the oil filter. There doesn't seem to be many more good choices left in the local junkyards.

I have a EJ25 from a 98 forester with 120,xxx miles, but I think its a DOHC and it needs headgasket( the temp will increase a little after driven over an hour on highway) It still in the car. Let me know if you are interested.

I have dohc heads from a forester too. Freshly rebuilt. Shoot me an offer.

If Goumba is not interested, I would be interested in the EJ25 and/or the DOHC heads. I have a 97 Legacy GT in need of a rebuild and would like to have an engine ready to drop in as to minimize my down time. Thanks, Mike
