Feeler...
I was thinking of selling my car...but not anymore since my insurance went down so much.

Thanks! I drove a tC today...I don't know if I can do it. I love my car, but yes, I am a broke college student...lol I don't know if the money I save will be worth the fun I lost.

^^I'm sure Hyundai has changed over the years, but we had one and it was the biggest piece of shit we ever owned. Everything broke, (door locks, seat belts, a/c, gas gauge, etc.) oh, and it was running on 3 cylinders. haha So needless to say, Hyundai left a bad taste in my mouth.

you already had a tiburon? what year? I had my doubts on this one, but after taking it apart I'm sold. I honestly feel it's built a little better than my subie.
EDIT: and I predict the company to take over the market by 2012.
um.. nevermind: Rite of Summer: Strike at Hyundai - Forbes.com

No, we didn't have a Tiburon, I just meant we had a Hyundai. Sorry, that was a little misleading. We actually had an Excel, which is why I said "I'm sure Hyundai has changed over the years". And we started having all those problems early on. We bought it new.

You will be REALLY sad once it's gone try not to do it if at all possible! When my '06 STI was totaled last year, driving anything else was not fun at all. Small things like driving confidence in the rain(AWD) and handling on off/on ramps and the turbo power will make eveything else seem blah
Is there anyway you can refinance to keep it? Its a great WRX with tasteful mods so if you must let it go someone will be VERY happy
But if there is just no other way then you probly need to go with something on the otherside of the spectrum so you can be satisfied with your replacement (good MPG, not sporty, good on insurance!
) I live in Brandon too and have seen your car many times before and it looks so nice so good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Um.. they stopped making Hyundai Excels in 1994!!!!!
They didn't even make thier own 4 cylinder engines till 1991 and didn't START to overhaul their bad image till 1998.
Anything post 2003 is MUCH better than before. Also, In 2004, Hyundai was ranked second in "initial quality" in a survey/study by J.D. Power and Associates.
but Robb has a great idea...REFI that is what saved my car... I too was looking at Scion TC's when I was once low on cash, thank god I refinanced so I could afford it.. my payments went from $490 to $280 I of course paid extra whe I could I finally paid that thing off last year.
My Tibby has about 75K on it now and we bought it used for $8000

I did think about refinancing, but I have 4.9% right now? Aren't used cars between 6-8%? Plus don't you have to pay to refinance? I have never refinanced so I have no idea how it works.
Thanks for the compliment Robb.
I agree I'd miss it, because it is alot of fun and it took me along time to be able to get one.
LOL, yeah I know the Excel is old, but that's my experience with Hyundai. haha
