screen is completely seperate single din sized unit with the remote. the cd deck i have is just all black so it might look like part of it but it is not.

the monitor can be used with any other source of video. ps2, dvd player, or if you have a cd deck that plays dvd's.

also the monitor is a fully motorized and has a remote. so it folds down into the dash. the cd player i have is also fully motorized
