S13 Hatch F/S $2,500 Obo
Some of you may have seen this car on here before it was recently for sale on this forum from a other member, THIS THREAD HAS LISTED ALL THINGS KNOWN TO BE OF UNSATIFACTORY PERFORMANCE HAVING TO DO WITH THE VEHICLE. Rather then use the trust of a fellow car enthusiest like the "previous owner" i will fully inform you on all things I know of that are wrong with the car. Which is also why im still asking less then what i have paid for it after putting more money into it. I am selling due to not having the money or time to make this into what i bought it for, i already have my project which is my s14 and i need to focus on that. While this car is rough, it is still dependable as it gets, i have driven it 200+ miles multiple days in a week without a issue. I live in brandon, work at the airport, go to school at USF and HCC, i am all over the place and i have been driving this car for the last 3 months without real issue.
Mod list as "Previous Owner" listed it but with some additions from my experience with the car:
-KA24DE 5speed approx. 130k all fluids, hoses, spark plugs, distributor etc etc where replaced. the motor swap was done/inspected/wired(amazingly)/troubleshooted ( he put alot of heart and soul into every build) by Art meyer
-dual cam guage cluster
-dual cam ps lines etc.
-s14 upper intake manifold was installed at the time of the swap due to better flowing efficency
-full emissions delete( the correct way)
-new brake, clutch, and resoviors/master cylinders was installed during the swap( 2 years)
-single electric 16" perfect fitting fan with wired relay wired to the aux(first click of the key) so you can run the fan with the motor off.
-new one year old rad.
-newer water pump(9months)
-new battery (9 months)
- New starter (7 months old)
- New clutch kit with lifetime warranty.
- new fuel pump (installed 7 months ago) *i hae traced his fuel work, fixed all 3 fuel leaks, replaced the vacuum lines he used as fuel lines, and also rewired the fuel pump which came undone 2-3 days after i bought the car
-One peice steel driveshaft(driveshaft that was on the car was installed incorrectly with the carrier bearring not aligned and coming apart)
-Grand marquis meshies with 205/40's i beleive. awesome wheels on 13's.
Chassis suspension:
-Front coils are Megans
-Rear are Jics, and while "Previous Owner" listed then as far superior then magens, what he was trying to say was that they were blown, old, and out dated. As long as you dont completely dumped you are fine though. You cant tell at the current ride height.
-s14 full oem 5 lug including the s14 uprights in the front.
-new pads,rotors(Rear) front are still in great shape and replaced in late 2009
-1 year old brake hoses
-full energy suspension polyeurethene bushing master kit ( front fully installed) rear has only the sway bars and misc
-new tie rod ends
-megan racing RUCA's, minimal camber dialed in.pillowball mounts
-1 year old sway bar endlinks ( front)
-calipers where replaced with new ones during initial restoration process 2 years ago, since then, not a single problem(while "the Previous Owner" says all the brakes have been redone, they feel like shit, yes the function, the car will stop when you hit the brakes, even lock up, but they need turned. like i said i have daily driven the car since i bought it, i was just never happy with the pedal feel. brake dummy light on the dash has been on since day one as well, goes off from time to time but not too often.
-Alignment was done about a month ago, when reece sold it to me my tires were lasting less than a month due to my rear toe being out 2.5* on both sides. Everything is now in check at current ride height and stance.
INTERIOR: While "Previous Owner" listed it as a 8/10 its closer to a 4-5. i tore down "the previous owner's" shitty done headliner job that was falling down, radio bezel clips are broken, cracked dash...
- new upper lower rubber shift boot and etc.
- clean stock
- burberry leather shift boot
- cleanest stock shift knob ive ever seen
- 1 month old kennwood headunit with ipod/mp3/usb/ blah blah blah and remote
- rockford wiring for a sub all that needs to happen is hook one up(is a wiring mess that is just sitting in the back behind the passenger front seat
- pioneer speakers(rears are blown)
- s14 front seats, in decent shape
EXTERIOR:
- oem chuki side skirts
- true original factory body panels(I replaced his busted as front fenders)
- factory pignose lip (in rough shape)
-tinted all red tailights and black center garnish with sticker
- paint is awesome shape for being 4 years old. clear coat is shiny as hell but pealing on the rear bumper and a small spot on the hatch. only other paint blemish is the passanger headlight cover(paint is in rough shape, usual s13 job, not worse than that)
- new headlight bulbs
- tailights have been reasealed to ensure leak protection
- oem new clips for hatch carpet piece
ok, now this is the up to date cons that "previous owner" failed to fill anyone else on
-Passenger rear quarter is bondo
-rocker panels on both sides of the car are destroyed from "Previous Owner" a retard and jacking the car up under them. thankfully there are sweet sideskirts to cover it up and you dont have to worry about it. but i feel obligated to fill interested buyers in
-car usually idles around 1400-1500, sometimes it idles at 1000, but most of the time its at the 1500. probably a easy fix, i just never did it due to lack of time.
-motor runs strong but sometimes breaks up a little over 4-5k, i have never taken it over 5,500 since i owned it.(its a KA, just never did anything for me to really play with it)
-open dif
-moody clutch/gearbox. i filled the gearbox up last night, helped a little. still works fine, just is not as smooth as other cars i have owned.
Now, i know that seems rough^, i just refuse to sell a car to someone without telling them of everything i currently know about it.I REFUSE TO SELL SOMEONE A CAR THAT I HAVENT DRIVEN IN MYSELF, OR NOT TELL THEM ABOUT THINGS THAT COULD THREATEN THE RIDERS SAFETY, SUCH AS DIRECT FUEL LEAKS ONTO HEATED CAR PARTS, BRAKES PROBLEMS, ETC. car would make a awesome drift missle, or with a little love back to a clean stance car like what reece lucked into. i am negotiable, but keep in mind i paid 2,800 for it and have since installed the wheels, alignment, one peice driveshaft, ect.

I know i havent been around a lot since my 14 went, but you can check my trader rating to see i am honest and i stand by my word. I got FUCKED on this car, and am not doing the same to the new owner, you will be aware of everything you will find before cash is in my hand.

this was my first hatch, and i wont lie coupes look better and i like them more, but using this as a work horse for toting shit from house to house has been awesome, you can get soooo much more in a hatch haha.
