hi, since you dont execpt pm's ill leave this here.
I bought this manifold from you
I finally got around to putting it on friday night and well it didnt take us long to run into a problem. It obviously needed planing . not really a big deal, even though you told me you had it planed.
I took it to the machine shop this morning, and got a call around 1 telling me that he cant plane it that its really messed up. I get there and he shows me what hes talking about, it cant be planed any more because it will be in the grove permatex goes in for the coolant hose seal.
it also twisted which is what i needed the camera to show you. I dont have any perfectly flat surfaces. I'll try and take it back to snap some pics but heres what it lookes like after he took it as far down as he could.
sorry for crappy pics/lighting
everything to the left hasnt been touched yet. what i circled shouldnt be getting hit.

in red it hasnt been hit. in blue it shows just how far taken down it is. you can also notice how much its been taken down on the top vs the last pic.

everything to the left of the line hasnt been hit except where its circled.
He told me its basicly f'd. That it needs a 1/4 inch welded on so he could make it right, or cut it at the welds that go from cast to aluminum
then bolted to the head and rewelded. He also said i might be able to weld the coolant channels solid, then drill and tap them with AN fittings so he doesnt have to worry about cutting into the grove for the permatex.
