full on track cars can take a lot more liberties with shit than a street car. bell bottom kits and crazy wheel fitment look cool sliding on a track, but when i want to drive to taco bus, im going to ruin all of that shit. so it just doesnt work for me. function over fashion.

On second thought, you could probably buy a tig, vacuum bagging equipment, and all kinds of tools, and fab a better set, cheaper, haha.

I like how everyone is an expert on the seats out of the Nismo version GT-R, which hasn't even been released yet! How would you have sat in them already? They're not 25% of the car because the Nismo GT-R retails for $160k+.
By the way, carbon seats from Sparco are anywhere from $2500 to $4000 a pair. Add leather, brackets, and Nissan profit margin, and there you go!
And you're not buying the materials, vacuum bagging system, and autoclave for $20k. Not a setup big enough to make 1-peice seats in, anyways. Plus designing the molds and engineering aren't trival. I'd like to see someone try it, though! These aren't sheet-aluminum Kirkey seats. Someone who was familiar and had resources at their disposal might be able to get close, though.
