Default Group Buy: Hardcore, solid aluminum tranny mounts s13/14

I know half of you are pussies and won't do this, but I figured I'd offer this to those who are men.

This transmission mount will replace the heavy steel and flexible rubber clusterfuck that is the stock transmission mount.

It is made of solid, billet aluminum and has been engineered to be lightweight, yet incredibly durable.

These are completely custom and I have full control over the design because they're being produced in a shop I work at back home.

Here is a CAD rendering of what they will look like.

Right now, these seem doable for $60. The price should come down a little bit once everything is sorted out.

To make it worthwhile, I need 20 buyers. That means 20 people paypal me the money once the purchase window is open.

These are being milled on a machine running the tools at nearly 12,000rpm so all 20 can be made in a single day. There won't be much of a wait once they've all been paid for.

I can also have these coated in a dye. I'll see if I can get some pics of other parts that have the coating I'm referring to. The coating will only run an extra couple bucks, but will also add a little bit of time to the production.

Quit losing power to the stock rubber mount. Man up and order these!

Matt

*Note: It is highly recommended that you use a solid transmission mount in combination with solid motor mounts.

If you guys don't want these, that's fine. I'm not here to convince you, I'm merely offering.

Solid motor mounts would be a must. I just kind of assumed you'd run those if you were gonna go with a solid tranny mount.

If you're friends with the machinist, you should be able to get those done much cheaper.

Cut the cost in half and ill get one... Maybe 2

I am friends with the machinist, but when he's producing parts for jet engines, helicopter rotors, and show bikes, his time is quite valuable.

If you guys want just the mount and required hardware without fancy stuff like colors and packaging, I can do $45. If you can find enough orders, that price may drop.

So, for $45 you'd get the mount, two bolts, and two lock washers.

Like I said, we need at least 20 orders to make it worth the effort.

I'm thinking about making my own sometime soon since mine's are gone.
Best bet to sell these is EBay.
