Located in jacksonville is a 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse GS-T.
This car runs but does need mechanical attention. It needs head work. We 1st thought it was lifter tap which is notorious for the 95-99 lifters. The perminent fix for that is 00+ lifters. After replacing the lifter's the tapping sound in the head was still present. There may be an issue with the valves/valve guides... really not sure and not wanting to put anymore money into the car. Compression is great on all 4 cylinders so bottomend is solid. The turbo built boost perfectly prior to this issue starting, but I can vouch once it's fix you will not need to replace the turbo unless you want to.
The body is in decent shape, a ding here or there no big or obvious dents in the body. It does need paint attention as well and a passenger side door handle. driver side front tire keeps going flat, I have not tried fix-a-flat yet. The car is just sitting so it's not a big deal to me.
This car can be driven away but it will be tapping/hesitating and people will look at you crazy. I recommend towing it if anything!
Body has 254k on her, according to dsm forums there is no way the engine made it that far without a rebuild. I can't however say that the engine has been replaced or rebuilt, but it does have a solid bottomend and a good turbo and it's not loosing any oil that i know of.
A/C components are all there, but the belt is disconnected. Heat works fine.
