There is no need to make a post saying "pm sent" or "I sent you a PM" or "check messages" in threads in this forum. The only time such a message is allowable is when it seems that the person has responded to the thread but not to your pm, a day or two has passed and it seems that they have missed your PM. I'm tired of seeing exchanges in threads "PM sent", "pm received", it's worthless, it clogs up the forum, and I'm going to start deleting every message that mentions PMs without a good reason. Unless they changed their settings to something screwy they get an email, a popup notification, AND a constant reminder at the top of each screen. If they log on they should have a hard time missing it.
