Default T/W: 87 N/a 13B

Well, I bought a car from TR wanting to do a swap off the bat. The motor is an 87 N/a 13b. It is believed to be bridgeported. I called PITO Racing on waters that did the port and they said the believe they did it but it would require me bringing them the car to check. I dont want to stay N/a so im trying to sell the motor as is. I drove it from waters to new port richey without any problems, only idle flux because its running a 'bridgeport' on the stock ECU.

Any interest pm me or contact me on AIM.

thanks,
-Mike

Heres where you went wrong..

1)Calling Pito Racing

2)Its hard,BUT you can kinda tell if its bridge by the lumpy idle. Its hard to understand if you dont know.

DO YOU want to be 100% sure?
Go buy a OEM Mazda intake/to engine gasket. They are like $3-$6.
ALSO get new orings for the intake.
Go to Jeff at Maztech he should have them.

Pull the intake OFF.

Put your finger in the port,You should feel the bridge.

Keep in mind, this is a 6 PORT motor. Most people ONLY port port the center plate (center iron)

Cause the end plates are for the 5th/6th ports with the sleeves.Which cant bridge.

What do you want for the block?

If you plan on going 13bt.

I have a standalone you should be interested in for ALMOST half the cost.

Im really not all that interested in finding out if it is bridgeported. I dont plan on going 13BT either, but thanks for the offer.

So are you selling an engine or the whole car?

Does it run.

Engine, I drove it from Tampa to New Port Richey(27.8 miles) with no problems. So it runs, it was just obnoxiously loud... but it has a ghetto ass exhaust so I didnt expect any less.
