FS; 1990 GTUs, 1 of 100 verifiable, $1800
its been slow going and alot of labor.
old rear fender has been cut out
New rear fender has been fitted and fully welded into place with series of spot welds
All welds are ground down flush
Weld seam is smoothed out w/ several layers of putty and each one sanded down
May need one more glazing and finish sanded, and the rear fender will be back to normal.
Next up: front fender bracing and fender skin. this will be FAR easier and faster than the rear quarter! i can almost Taste the finished GTUs-ness.

not sure about the cororras. Maybe the DSM mike... ill have to think about it. Theres another guy who is talking about trading his 91 Stealth R/T tt too. im definitly down for the R/T tt. to be honest, 90 is not a good year for me and DSM's.
also, the front end of the car is all put together. the fender bracing and supports are welded and bolted in place. the new fender is on. there are a few dings in the fender that i need to smooth out.
also, i pulled the rotary stuff and dropping in a roller cam 5.0 V8 ford from an 85 mustang GT. im using a Grannys speed shop kit. everything is bolt in, so it can be swapped back to the rotary... im only doing this because its cheaper than rebuilding my engine and i cant find an S5 NA motor that runs fine for under $500. if someone wants the car w/ the rotary, speak up now before the V8 goes in. If the V8 goes in, its going to drive w/ the V8 and the rotary drivetrain is included but not installed.

find me a working S5 motor that doesnt smoke for under $500 and ill gladly put that in. If youre anti-V8, help a brotha out instead of being negative.
btw, mike... if Morgan's friend w/ the new dark blue 91 Vert pulls his engine for the T2 swap, ill pick that up and put my car back together the way it should be... but he said that it may not happen for a few months. we need to hurry up the process
