WTB: 99-00 EK HATCH yup the 3rd door
Actually its from 98-00 when they made the newer Rear Hatch Door for the Hatchbacks with the latch to open it unlike the 96-97 that only open with the key. That being said, you can use any of those years; 1998-2000.
BTW, you can use the 96-97 Rear Hatch Door you have if you want, but takes way too much work to make it work. In case you're interested here's what you do ...
You need the cable and lever as well as the Latch/Release. You will need to cut the hoop piece off of the 96-97 and weld it onto the 98-00. Then, you need to cut and weld the Release to the side of the 98-00 and finally route the cable as well as cut the sheet metal and plastic to fit the new release. Here's pics to better explain the modification (click to enlarge):

but the thing is mine is fuked up already
so im trying to get a new hatch and get the one with the handle on the buttom that does NOT open from the inside...
but i really apriciate your help thankx alot

wuz up i think i got one but it does have the glass but a new glass is 80 bucks its a oem door and its black and it came off a 2000 hatch nd its got the latch dat things is rare and hard to find i want 200 for it my boy works at a junk yard and for a 96 when he gots them he charges 160 so dats a deal lmk
