if its a gt series turbo it was ball bearing , but u can not re-build a ball bearing turbo , so what charlie at evergreen does is machine the housings for journal bearings , i have used evergreen many times and the man is a genius , and he personally is against ball bearing turbo's , i would rather have one of his journal bearings than the most expensive ball bearing turbo's , thats just my .02 cents , bump for a nice turbo

 

^ You're pretty close.. It's not the GT series that makes it ball bearing it's the R after the numbers.

Read the part numbers here, anything with an R beside it is ball bearing, any part numbers without it is not.

umm damn... gonna have to wait a little while then.... unless u want to trade for a t3 that came off a turbodesiel Volvo... ill definatly message u when i get some money together though.

 

Who knows? Maybe i'll still have it.

This is a turbo I don't mind looking at for the rest of my life for motivation to build a real motor.
