yes but the factory B17 rods will not affect anything other then compression and piston travel. we will actually decrease piston travel using the B17 rods enough to where the pistons will sit just under the deck. But the way things are looking we are just going to install a B16 crank as B17 rods are very hard to come across

Damn after I already sold that one it would been perfect,why not just go with a gsr blocj or ls to make more power?

Because I dont want to make anymore power. 550 on the street is enough, if I wanted more power I would have sleeved the block. This will be my DD so I mean its fine for now. Setting up my cams and everything are for the future, when money allows Im going to purchase another car so I can build this for alot more power till then this is fine but I couldnt pass up these deals on these cams so I said fuck it.


BTW- I have a b16 crank, we just didnt want to rip apart the motor completely. Taking off the head wasnt a big deal, besides I needed a reason to get a Full Port, Polish and 5 angle valve job thanks to Griffin Performance

Wouldent you want to sleeve the block so it would be reliable since it will be your DD?
