f/s 95 gsr longblock
looking to sell a 95 gsr longblock w/ aprox 100k on it. only thing is that the timing belt slipped at cruising speeds at about 3k rpm. engine ran flawlessly before hand. not sure as to the extent of damage. never tore head of to check it. engine is still in car looking to sell only complete longblock w/ distributor. looking for 700b/o
I got a complete NOS brand wet kit for it. LMK

umm... it's cause it will have bent valves, it doesn't matter if it was at idle, you'll still bend valves, so at cruising speeds means you better be ready to replace valves and hope that's it. That's why when you put a timing belt on, you're suppose to turn the motor by hand 2 rotations to see if you have a problem vs just turning it on cause if it's wrong, just from the combustion it will have enough power to turn the motor to bend a valve. Anyways g/l, but at least let people know that there is a very great chance that the head is going to hve bent valves. As far as the bottom end, did it smoke, knock or anything?
