The connecting rods themselves are exactly the same from this batch to a batch that would be produced today
these rods just have the older style 5/16" ARP rod bolt in them that was discontinued a little while back
the new Eagle rods come with a 3/8" ARP Rod bolt -- commonly referred to as the ARP2000 rod bolt
the 5/16" rod bolt is good -- can't handle the abuse of the 3/8" bolt but i would feel perfectly comfortable putting the 5/16" ARP Rod bolt equipped Eagle rods in any engine making up to 400 horsepower
if you are looking to push more power than that then i would look at the new 3/8" equipped rods.
