you said it ran for 5 mins so i was guessing you had it or was there when it stoped running but whatever i was just putting in my .02

 

so your saying he bought a motor for 50 bucks when they clearly stated it broke a timing belt and prob bent some valves, he dropped it right in without doing ANYTHING to it and expected it to run? seriously? did i read all this right?

 

yes you did read it right.......i put a timing belt on it and when i started it up it ran perfect no missing at all, but i drove for about a mile then it started to make a funny noise, i didnt have time to check but the noise is coming from right under the valve cover...not the bottom end....i think a rocker came loose....will be checking tommarow and then we will find out if i made a smart buy..............

The valves are bent bro you cant just put the motor back in there, you need to take the head off and take it to a machine shop.

 

i got another head and new gasket soooo if the valves are bent im already perpared

 

then just put the new head on there, the valves are bent

 

in about ten hours there will be an update........
