I'm not too sure what to do about this. I was just shifting into 3rd normalll and the knob broke off with the thread still inside. The short-shifter came with my car and I'm not sure what brand it is. Do I have to buy a whole new shift assembly or what?

 

just buy a new short shifter and change it.. not that hard..

also you should try posting this in the TECH section... you would get more help..

 

Buy a new short shifter and you can probaly tap the rest of the old shifter out've the shift knob with a tapping kit!
