I need a short final drive for a Bseries tranny, something thats a 4.4 ratio, I have a A1 right now and i dont want to run it on my all motor setup, lemme know what you got

the A1 has a 4.4 final drive. all pre-92 cable b-series trannys have a 4.4 FD.

 

it says in a book that i have that a A1, ls S1, and LS ys1 that they are a 4.266 final drive, thats whats been confsing me, ive heard that they are a 4.4 and that they are the 4.266 final, im going to wait to buy one till i find out which final drive that i have now, thanks

 

I have taken a couple of 90-91 LS and 89-91 b16a tranny's. they have all had the same amount of teeth on the main shaft and ring gear. I am under the impression that only 92-93 LS YS1 tranny's have the 4.226(something like that) final drive. I'll find out in a week or so when I crack open a LS ys1 to install an ITR gearset and b16 KAAZ LSD.
