looking for an ignition control module to troubleshoot my car.
car randomly died, i got it to run again, died, pulled off my MSD box, and will start up everytime now, but i get a weird tach signal, looking to troubleshoot with another ICM to see if it will go away.

has to be 1993 camaro / firebird or 1992-1993 corvette from my understanding.

i don't have a part for you but wanted to ask if by wierd tach signal you mean it randomly pegs itself even under part throttle conditions? if so i have been chasing that ghost off and on for several years with my 94 and 95. for me it tends to be a warning sign of a bad/loose ground somewhere and clears up once i go though the harness and reseat everything. anyway good luck on finding the source and definitely post up if the ICM resolves it.

So i finally bit the bullet and picked up a new AC Delco ICM and put it in the car. bingo car runs and drives great again without hiccup, but I still have the weird tach thing happening.

Ill play with wires and double check grounds. I remember that the tach filter was eliminated for the MSD that i removed, so maybe it needs that back again to make the dash not all stupid.
