the cylinder head gaskets are known for failure on these engines. the cylinder head on this vehicle is by far the easiest cylinder head to remove. pull the head and see if the lower is salvageable. if it is then rebuild the head and replace the gasket. should only cost ~300.00 and a few hours of your time. this is assuming there isnt a rod through the block.
