sorry about that. I blew apart a brand new AC delco opti (twice!). Technically the rotor was breaking, not the actual opti, but it would scatter shit through the whole dizzy and I wasn't taking a chance on just replacing the cap and rotor. The factory cap and rotor is shit and apparently cant take hitting 7K too often. When I got this new one under warranty, I was just going to sell the opti and do the EFIconnection ls1 PCM, coils, and harness conversion. But once I thought abought having to have it re tuned once I did the swap, then re tuned again once I built the 383, I'd be forking out too much cash. So I put an MSD cap and rotor on the new opti and its been fine so far. Instead of the matal tang bieng plastic riveted to the rotor(more like melted plastic nubs), it is encased and has a brass screw to retain the tang.
