WTB GM 2.4l LD9 DOHC engine (or internals) for a '96 Sunfire GT
Car it needs to directly bolt to with no (little) modification: 1996 Pontiac Sunfire GT, 5 speed manual. I would be interested in a 2.3l HO if I could get all of the parts and information for what needs to be modified to make it work.
Yes i know the car isnt worth fixing. Im looking to replace this car for something that will be driven once a week in the price range of 2k.
The story. Basically the engine needs to run without any other repairs, i dont need accessories but would take all that is offered, also looking for a slave cylinder. The current engine in this (shitbox) car spun a rod bearing and i dont expect it to last more than 100 miles, even with new bearings (spun because the youngster didnt check the oil.) I replaced the bearings but there is noticeable play in 1 rod. Long story short, i need a crank and some rods, or preferably a used working engine, or upgrade to the 2.3 HO.
