I am posting this up here for a guy I work with, he was building this to put in his project truck, but he recently found out his wife is pregnant, and he is trying to be responsible, and get himself a better vehicle to drive everyday. Motor is a '99 Vortec 350 Block and heads- 4 bolt main.

Motor was recently rebuilt, by him ( we both work at Goodyear, and are ASE certified mechanics, if that helps any. ) Using new cam bearings, main bearings, rod bearings. New oil pump, valve seals, new freeze plugs, all new seals and gaskets. Chrome valve covers, chrome timing cover, chrome air cleaner, chrome water neck, chrome fuel pump plate. Hurricane intake manifold w/Demon 725cfm carb w/vac. adv. & electric choke, polished aluminum water pump, polished aluminum distributor w/ 60k volt coil, 8mm taylor mag wires and ceramic coated headers.

I am pretty sure he said the alternator, and other accessories were all replaced with new parts as well.

Total into the motor, including the machine work, and parts was somewhere near the $2000 range, maybe higher, I don't exactly remember. Motor has never been installed into a vehicle, and has essentially 0 miles.
