Default wtb th400 output yoke asembly

i need the whole yoke assembly for a longshaft th400(33in long) the part that slides in the rear of the trans, the u joint, and other half that is attached tothe driveshaft. prefferably with serviceable ujoint, and also, need to know what vehicle and app its from so i can get a new ujoint if i ever need too. just grabed a th400 at the junkyard that ill be rebuilding soon for my car and need the yoke assembly to get thecustom 1 peice driveshaft made. i took it out of a 1972 olds delta 88 if it matters, and heres some pics of it if it helps.

the writing on the tailshaft says 75-thm

What you have there is a Turbo 375. Not a long tailshaft Turbo 400. The only difference between the two is the output shaft diameter and the length. The 375 like you have uses a regular Turbo 350/ 700R4, 4l60e yoke. Nothing special you could go to Copher's and pick one up for cheap, most likely lying on the ground from someone who has already pulled a motor. Are you putting this motor behind a Chevrolet? If it is you will have to get an adpater plate or a JW ultra bell as the bolt patterns are different. IF you want another tranny like that I have one I'll sell for $50 it's a spitting image of that one. Can't help you on the yoke, I do have one for a Turbo 400 though.

your right. i found that info out a few days ago and its the same length as a th350. i got a book on them on how to build them up etc.. ive been reading it the last couple of days. yeah, ill take the trans, but due to i just did a bunch of xmas shopping, i may have to wait till my next check(ill check my balance and see). is that other trans in good shape or in need of a rebuild?

also, its ont going behind a domestic motor. the bellhousing is getting cut off and im bolting an adaptor plate to the front pump that will let me mount the stock auto bellhousing to it from my engine, then ill be dropping it off at tampa tq convertor along with an extra shortblock to get the tq convertor fabbed. its going in an 84 supra(2nd gen)with a fully built 3.0 turbo from an 88 supra(3rd gen) with all the trimmings, large turbo, dual fuel pumps standalone, forged rods, pistons, head work, cams, ss valves, titanium retainers, block girdle, the works. aiming at 10's on pump gas and no juice.

I can wait I plucked it out of Copher's about 4 years ago. I've had it this long a couple of weeks longer won't kill me. I swear it looks exactly like yours, grease and funk and all, I ran out to my shed to make sure mine was still there. I would say it could stand a rebuild. Depending on the HP you are putting out you could convert it to a regular 400 for minimal cost. If you are sticking with the IRS it may be a consideration as the driveshaft angle could end up being better. Let me know when you want it. I live in Lutz, but I work in CLearwater so I could bring it to you are over that way.

yes itll work in my supra. its the same overall length as the stock auto give or take an inch or so. also, there is no angle, the diff is fixed and doesnt move, also, ill be installing a 1 peice driveshaft when i do this. im not the first to put a th400 in a supra. though prolly the first in a mkii behind an m engine, russ m. and joel t both had full built powerglides running ~5k rpm stalls in the low 10's high 9's on dot aproved tires. im not going that crazy. mid high 10's on slicks on pump gas is plenty for me. lol. or at least till it feels slow again, then ill have to get a bigger turbo, run race gas, and retune the standalone. at least the motor will be built now to withstand any possible power upgrades in the future.
