well i decided to take apart my motor yesterday so i could clean up and paint a few things, nothing outrageous though lol, and new gaskets. and when i took the lower intake off i found the my lower gt-40 was cracked right where the rear passenger side bolt was. and now im in need of a new one.
preferably the cheaper the better but right now i just want to find one so when it goes back together i dont have to wait

so if u have a lower gt-40 intake layin around let me know or if u have a another NON-STOCK intake laying around, i know alot of people dont want to part it out. let me know

go to your local LKQ or pick-a-part and get one off of an Explorer. $40 at LKQ for the lower.

 

i just called one of the yards and they said its $75 for either the upper or the lower OR $120 for both.
i payed $100 for mine lol

Just in case you're wondering why it was cracked there, it's because the throttle cable was trapped under it when you tried to torque it down.


Ask me how i know.

My upper has a crack bye a bolt hole so if you find one we can go halfs on it
