Default FS: 1990 LX Hatch

SOLD

Selling my son's 1990 LX hatch.
Some of you who followed the build thread are familiar with the car. Put a lot of time and effort into this car. It still needs some work to be complete. But over all is a great car.

Recent paint. Straight rust free body. Tons and tons of new parts. $1200 in brand new wheels and tires. Dont even have 200 miles on them.

Will sell turn key or will part it out and sell as a roller.
The build thread can be viewed here.
https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/p...k-project.html

Brand new Fuzion ZRi 275/40 tires mounted on the rear.
Drilled and slotted rotors on the front.
5% tint on rear and sides of the car.
All new emblems and badges.

Car runs great. Pretty quick for what it is. It will break sideways if you mat the gas in 1st and 2nd gear. You dont have to dump the clutch for it to do it. Motor is making above average torq for a 302. No track times. By the seat of my pants I'm guessing this car will run low 13's in the 1/4. I did have the opportunity to run a 2004 GT here locally. From a dig and a 25 mph roll I put an easy 10 car lengths on him. Just kept pulling away. When I asked if he was stock or what he had done to his car he would just shrug and wouldnt answer me. But knowing that stock 99 - 04 GT's will run low 14's and bolt on cars will run upper 13's is why I am guessing this car will run low 13's by the way it pulled away from that car. This car is very light. Maybe 3000 - 3100lbs with a full tank. Not really a race car,.. but very respectable compared to what else is out there.

Here is the bad:
Needs front struts and an alignment badly. The rear shocks are fine.
Headliner is drooping.
Door gaskets have seen better days.
AC not working. But to do have everything to put it back together except for the condenser which was damaged when I bought the car. The dryer and lines are all stored in a box and will go with the car.
Heat is not hooked up. The heater core is still here and the blower motor and vents all function perfectly. I by passed the heat lines on the water pump. Very simple to hook back up.
The right rear wheel cylinder is leaking brake fluid. A $6 rubber seal to fix.
The clutch is not long for this world. Maybe 2 - 3 months left depending on how hard you drive the car. I put the used clutch back in the car because it still had some meat left on it. My son needed to learn how to drive a clutch and wanted him to chew up the used one first before getting a new clutch.
The ashtray door doesnt stay closed. Typical of these cars. The clip is not broken,.. I think the spring is just worn out.
I pulled the bulb for the dome light because it would not go out. The button for the passenger door is stuck and needs to be replaced to fix it.
The power door locks are not working. Windows work fine.
The rubber on the 1/4 windows are in rough shape. I will include some better 1/4 windows with the car.

As the car sits right now I want $3500 OBO. Thats $1100 less than what I have in it.

.

.

Or,.. I will sell as a roller.
No engine, no transmission, no exhaust, no radiator, no Autometer gauges.

$1500 as roller with the wheels. $1000 and bring your own wheels.

Will not sell as a roller until the engine sells first. The engine will sell better if they can hear it run first.

Will sell the engine for $1000 OBO
That will include everything from intake to oil pan. All accessories will be included with it. Come hear it run,.. drive the car.

26 spline TKO tranny with Lakewood bell and B&M billet shifter $1500 for all. Shifts perfect. No grinds, no noises.
Or $1200 for just the tranny, $200 for Lakewood SFI bell and $100 for B&M Billet shifter.

Mac 1 3/4 Long tube headers with 3" collectors - $175 OBO
3" mid pipes and Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers with turn down pipes - $150 OBO

Car sold today. Quickest sale I've done in a while.
Wish I'd asked for the full $4600 I had in it.
