By 'Ho Hum' I meant as in comparison to Shaun's car and the rest of the cammed out purpose built cars. I mean after you watch 180 - 190 mph cars and your adrenalin is all shot up,.. you kinda lose interest when the regular Joe cars go down the track.

Not trying to knock you or your car down. My cars have typically been in the regular Joe crowd. The one time I finally got a green light to build an 8 second car and I lose my job. Story of my life,..

I talk a lot of shit but if push comes to shuv you have to know I would give the shirt off my back to help pretty much anyone.

My son's car is nothing to brag about. It looks and sounds faster than what it really is. If lays down more than 225 - 230hp on a dyno I would be surprised.

1990 E7 heads, 1.72 SVO RR's.
FMS GT40 Cobra intake
Everything else is bone stock. The MAF still has the air screen in it.
5 speed and it has a 3.73 gear.

What do you figure,.. low 14's? Maybe some 13's in the 1/4? Car is very light. I doubt it weighs much more than 3000 3100 lbs tops. So figure a 3300 - 3400 lb race weight with my fat ass in it.

Compared to the 306 that was in my 93,.. it feels stronger off the line, with much more low end torq. But where my 93 started screaming Oooh me oooh me from 4500 - 6500 RPM,.. this motor pretty much falls on its face after 5200 RPM.

That sounds like a good race. If I can nail the launch I think I could beat you. But if I spin too much in 1st I'll have to try to catch you on the top end. You'll definitely have an advantage off the line. But I think this motor is a little stronger than yours with the cam, intake and headers. The MAF on this thing so small and I think is holding it back. I think I have another MAF housing I may try. Cant remember if I gave it away or not.

I keep all my parts over at my inlaws place, but my Ex wife is there so I have been trying to stay away from that place like the plague. I cant wait till she finds someone to shack up with so I can hang with my father inlaw again. Its a story Jerry Springer would love. My Ex father inlaw was my best man when I married my current wife.
