Just out of curiosity: Why do people prefer the cobra intake over the Explorer ? I've seen dyno tests posted where the explorer intake out performs the cobra and can be bought for one-third the cost of a cobra. what am I missing?

 

To me the Explorer intakes look like ass...dont care how cheap they are. Thrush cherry bombs make power too and cheap at Pep Boys, but I wouldn't run them either

 

Really? I guess it just comes down to personal taste. I've always thought the Explorer looked a little better, not that they look all that different from each other anyway. If anything, to me the cobra intake looks alot like a stock 5.0 intake (externally speaking) with a fancy nameplate attached to the top. There isn't any "quality" difference between the explorer and the Cobra intake so for my money I'd take the Explorer, but what do I know..... I prefer Carbs to all of them.

 

That makes 2 of us. BUT if I had a DD FI Fox it wouldnt have an Explorer intake on it

 

i think the cobra looks better too, but i got an explorer intake and painted it with black wrinkle. my friend has a powder coated black cobra intake but i personally think mine is better now lol

 

the explorer intake also out flows the tubulat gt40 people dont like it bacause it dont look to good..unless you polish is like i have done

 

they dont look like ass if you know what you are going
