My motor decided to go out when I replaced the channel run. Wanted to see if anyone has one available before I head to auto zone.

You sure its the motor? Does it make any noise? does the window just jump?

 

We have been rolling it up and down, to make sure its running along the channel run fine. We went to roll it up, and it wont move. sounds like its making the clicking sound like its getting power, but it wont move.

 

its not the motor then, its those POS plastic balls inside the motor. its a 10$ fix. just remove the motor, remove the cover 3 bolts. Clean out all the old worn out balls, replace the balls. Put motor back in. You can substitue plastic balls for 3 10mm nuts. Dont waste your $$$ on a motor.

 

Can I just get these 'balls' from advanced or something? If I have it apart, I may just throw a whole new motor in it so I dont have to do it again for a long while.

 

do a search for "window motor drive balls"

you can buy a new motor, im just tryin to save you 40$ or so... i rebuild them all the time.

 

Alright, thanks a lot man. I may be able to pick one up from Ray tomorrow. The only thing I can find is the gear kit.

 

The item you need is in the front "Help" section at Advance stores ... $10 max. Ask for these, from the store lobby, not the damn software! Most working our stores on weekends can't wipe their ass without that computer screen.
