Default S95 T- 5 Speed Transmission.

Has anyone else install a 1994/95 T 5speed transmission in a Fox body Mustang before. With the Bellhousing & tailshaft being longer than the fox T 5, you would have to shorten the driveshaft. Please explain any advice & if you ever had any problems too.

    Default Nope Tommy

Thanks for the promts Bro. 94 and 95's are only half an inch longer than the fox ones. You have to use the sn 95 housing or change out the input for a fox one.

    • M-4602-G Fits 1979-95 Mustang/Capri 5.0L vehicles with T-5/SROD/C-4/A0D, 1979-93 with Tremec transmissions and 7.5" or 8.8" axles. 28 spline yoke
I meant 1 5/8 longer.I do know what I am talking about because I did this conversion.I installed a 1995 Cobra T 5 in my 1993 Coupe. The S95 body are longer than the Fox body car & that is why the bellhousing is deeper & with the input shaft longer too.The drive shaft is correct, but because I install a 1994/95 T 5 in a Fox body the dimension from the Flywheel to the Rearend is shorter. So I do know what i'm talking about. And yes it would have been alot easier to use the input shaft off a foxbody T 5 & bellhousing than what I di but hey it works great & no problems at all.

its only 5/8" longer. NOT 1-5/8"

use the 94-95 bell housing and your fine. you'll hardly notice the shifter location being moved 5/8" rearward and I've always been able to reuse the stock drive shaft and still have enough free play.

Tried it & it snap the bearing retainer off.I had to buy a new one & maybe it was 5/8 but I had it shorten & balance to play it safe + it only cost me $45 to do it @ PST in Clearwater.
