I just bought a 96 Mustang GT. I own a Navigator with a 5.4L InTech in it. Navigator got hit on the side, and im debating parting it out..

then the thought occured....


Are there engine parts on that 5.4 that i can swap onto my 4.6 that would be an improvement???

 

thats a very open ended question ....... u could put that motor in your car, it will bolt right in. wire harness would need to be modded a bit . and a tune would be needed . new hood , a diffrent fly wheel . ect ..

 

It is a great swap since you have basicaly a donor car DO IT. The pay off would be crazy going from a non-pi 2V to a 4V 5.4 DO IT!

I would def swap the powerplants... The 32 valver's are damn torquey. Especially from what you're used to out of that mudstain.

 

What trans and rear are in the mustang?

 

u would need a new fuel system... it will not b cheap. but the payoff would b great.

Like said above, new flywheel, motor mounts (probably), some wiring changes from the harness to the Navi harness, cowl hood, air intake system, and a couple other swap parts..
