Question Anybody Here OWN Their Own Tow Dolly That I Could Borrow

Hey guys. Finally getting my ass planted back in South Tampa sometime this week. My 91 GT is still sitting at Patrick AFB on the Space Coast unregistered and no tags/insurance. I have to get it off that base before I catch Hell and/or they tow it and I need to get it running soon anyway. U-Haul is giving me crap because their system says I can't pull a 3K pound car with a Ranger regardless of the fact that I've towed it already using one of their dollies. Looking on here to see if any of you guys actually own a factory made dolly (no home-built rigs) that I could use for a fee? I have drill weekend in 2 weeks and need to take a dolly with me then so I can bring the GT back taking my time. My Ranger already has a Curt tubular Class III hitch and ball setup rated for 6K lbs. Trying to get this all planned in advance. Thanks for reading.

yeah all ranger and explorers, encluding the sport tracks, its from all the roll overs from years back,we have been in the towing/trailer business for over 40 years, it all uhaul dealers, just use a buddies truck to pick up the tow dolly, go down the street an put it on your ranger

Its really not a good idea to pull any car other then maybe an import roller shell with a Ranger or similar sized little truck.

Its not that it cant pull it. But stopping,.. evasive manuvering to avoid an accident can actually cause an accident,.. jack knife,.. roll over or worse. Its just not enough truck. I wouldnt risk it,.. not over that distance.

If you dont mind covering the gas,.. I have a truck and 20' car trailer that can tow your car anywhere. I'l charge nothing but the cost of fuel. My truck averages 12 - 13 mpg when pulling a 3300lb Mustang. 16 - 17 mpg during normal mixed driving. Its 2004 Silverado with 5.3. I've already towed several cars for guys here on TR. Its really no big deal.
