well being I am not too good and heavy into chevy builds just yet, I am building a truck that I have always been in love with, its a 68 chevy short bed and I want to put a big block 396, 454, or 502 or something along those lines that will run good and sound nasty, I am not racing this truck at all I just want the balls to be there with the touch of the pedal and be able to blow off the rear tires for some good ole smoke action whenever I want, sooo, I guess what I am askin is what would it cost me and does he have the parts to build me a drop in 400 to 500 hp big block with the things you have posted? and maybe does he have a tranny to with it? just looking for some info on this stuff anything helps at this point. sorry if its a dumb question. thanks man

Good motors are built at or closely using a machine shop. I would talk to a builder and tell them your goals. Big blocks make a lot more torque than small blocks so that is the number you need to look at instead of hp. You should build your own big block and these parts are a good place to start. Plus these guys are selling this stuff super cheap. Call Mike and ask him about a drop in motor. He has a couple good machine shops he could get you in touch with.
