LONG SHOT. Looking for a 02 Jeep Liberty motor 3.7L

I know a long shot, but never hurts to try!!!

My mother-in-law has a rod knock. Need a motor for a 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7 liter 6 cyl...

Or if anyone knows of someone or whatever that might be able to help. Let me know please. Thanks

expensive engines, probably in the $1200 -1800 range

My pops has that jeep,picked it up with a lifter issue,easy fix. Maybe thats the issue? are you sure on it being a rod?

She had a mechanic friend look at it and supposly thats what he said it was. I have someone else who will give her a second opinion. Hopefully its a lifter like you said but I also heard the noise and it sounds like a deep knock knock.. IDK, im no master mechanic!! Thanks Joe and everyone else!!!

easily, they are over $3k for a basic reman from the dealer. New dodge motors are expensive thanks to being owned by Mercedes.
