I have a nice T-5Z 5 speed transmission for a mustang, that has the high alloy gearset this tranny is rated for 450 HP. In exc. condition shifts smooth, no grinds. Comes with better gear ratios than standard T-5 and World class and is stronger, also has a higher 5th gear ratio for better cruise with low rear end gear ratios.

They rate them for torque not hp and the # is 330 lbs.

I am not saying they wont hold 450hp,its all how its driven anyway.

 

Looks like a stock brog warner t-5 with a steel input shaft. Do you have the id tag numbers?

 

Whats the spline count on the input shaft?

shuold be 10 spline count. Its nothing more than a t5 with the different 1st and 5th gears,, steel bearing retainer and a cobra pocket bearing. I had one, I loved the 2.95 first gear. Nothing like nailing first gear from a stop and hitting 40 mph before you had to switch gears with a 3.27 rear end

 

yeah i got the same trans in my coupe but i like the gears in a stock t5 a lil better glws
