4.6 T45 Cobra spec tranny.

For those that do not know. There are 2 different T45 tranny's used in 96 - 00 Mustangs.

There is the 96 - 98 GT spec
and the 96 - 99 Cobra and 99/00 GT spec tranny.

The only difference is the tail shaft. The 96 - 98 GT spec has the cross member mounting pad closer to the center tranny housing. The 'Cobra' spec has the mount near the end of the tail shaft.

This tranny shifts great. No odd noises.
It does need a synchro kit. 2nd gear will grind if you try to power shift above 5000 RPM. Otherwise no other issues or problems with this tranny. Drive it normal and you would never know.

I got it from Terry (78MPGH) on N2S 3 years ago. I used it for 3 months and replaced it with a newer T45 that I got from another friend. I paid $200 for it and thats all I am asking. Want what I paid for it.

This tranny will work on 96 - 98 GT but you will need the Cobra cross member plates and use the GT cross member to bolt to them,.. or use an adapter plate to your existing cross member location.

Also believe it should bolt in place of GT's with a 3650 tranny,.. just need to grind the slots a little on the cross member to bolt up. Not 100% sure on this so please check to make sure before purchase.
