A Tire! I'm looking for some form of a tractor tire - looking for one that is used, old, beat up - whatever. If it's blocking space in your garage, or yard - let me know. I'm looking to use it for a project of mine

Looking for a tire like this:

If my truck were big enough I woulda tried to get one from the motorpool. What exactly are you trying to use it for?

My guess is to flip it and hit it with big sledge hammers.

In regards to Stangerang's comments... Considering the guys at TapouT are friends of mine (specifically Mask and Sky Scrape) - I would wear some of my TapouT gear that they've given me for free, no problem. And the theme song for the UFC is by Stemm, and called "Face The Pain."

And yes Eric, I'll be using it for flipping / throwing (depending on size). Not so much into the sledge hammer routine. But we used to use these at a training facility that I frequented in Ocala, and another one here in the Tampa area. They will put some serious strain on your entire body, and help you get your conditioning on par. I've been out of training for several months w/some health issues and want to get back into the swing of things - only now I'm no longer working in the MMA Industry, so I'd be having to actually PAY for the gyms memberships, etc - and on a College Student's budget that doesn't work out well ($65/month per gym on average).

The large tires can/will be used for flipping. When used properly it emulates the squat, the clean/jerk, and also bench/military press (depending on height of tire in comparison to trainee) all in one motion. Depending on how you utlize the workout, you can add in variations that then can include abs, and even plyometrics.

Smaller tires will be used for throwing. There's a pretty good routine out that involves the backwards / overhead throwing of smaller tires that will allow you to get some great results for your erector spinae, abs, obliques, etc.

I've got less than 3 months to get into the shape I'm seeking - as I'm doing this as part of my research paper to support my thesis for my class at school.
