Why are you requiring core for a non re built tranny?

 

because he is a dealer with rediculous prices. who in there right mind if going to pay these prices. you can go on craigslist, srtforums or neons.org and get a turbo for under $200 in mint condition, $50 for dang near any airbag on CL. and you can get srt engines all day long on CL for a grand. really.


ok so i have a question. the motor installed is 2000 bucks right. so is this price for instlaling it in a 1st gen neon as well, cause if so then thats about the only goo deal on this thread.if it is pm me

 

Did you ship the fuse box and vaccum syl yet? still waiting for the tracking number.

 

I emailed him about an intake manifold and he told me they go by "ebay" prices and said they go for $180+. Nice considering I picked up one from a local for $70 today...

 

yes i am a dealer, not some forum guy trying help another guy out. i have average prices for dealers or shops. sorry its not up to ppls standards but you can't please everyone. I'm sure you picked up one from a local guy but I'm not just some local guy. i have shop costs and overhead. Maybe thats to much for someone to understand. I've sold a few engines and transmission for the prices as stated. Again I am a shop not some local guy trying to sell extra parts to clear put my garage so the wife is happy. ... pm returned tracking info will be sent tomorrow thanks for your business. cores required because i rebuild them :0 its a very common practice for shops yards and used parts places to require a core... thats why they have a core charge When buying things cheap you get no guarantee no one to go back to. Thats why you find engines for cheap all day on cl or whatever. but you will not find one from a dealer for cheap and this i know.!!!

 

One dealers are not aloud to use for sale FORUMS to advertise. You can't post in a FORUM and expect people to be ok with paying dealer costs.
Second is I can maybe understand charging and then requiring a core for a tranny but certainly not charging $1600+core. Especially for one with 50k plus miles on it. Even breaking an input shaft Would cost less to replace than $1600!

Sorry but there are just too many srt owners not willing to pay dealer fees.

 

anyone is allowed to post in here. i am glad a lot of owners shop around for better deals honestly i completely understand. i am just stating the obviousness and logic behind it.

 

you never answered my question, is $2000 installed into any neon? as in i own a caged 99 ACR. so would the price be 2k for a srt motor installed, although i would want my t-350 trans used not the 850
