i've had a 2 door neon 5 speed r/t sitting for a couple years and i would like to get an engine for is so i could possibly sell it. Let me know, I'm looking for something cheap and decent.

 

whats wrong with the engine in it? i have a dohc block, pistons, oil pan, new timing belt and oil pan belt, if you got new piston rings or are daring enough to use the original ones it can be all thrown together minus a head for cheap.

 

well, i got the car wheelin and dealin under the impression that it ran fine, they just used the coil pack, altenator and starter off of it for another neon. so i found those parts and slapped it all back together only to find out it did run, just on three cylinders. took the head off and the #3 piston was in blown in two. i've kinda wanted do an srt-4 in it, but anymore, i just want to slap it together and make a decent running car.

i have a 96 neon for sale complete it runs fine just needs interior work badly you can even drive it asking 700 for the whole car.......runs an drives great.... take the motor out an use it in yours its 5spd...
