Im planning a trip to the North Georgia mountains to ride "the loop" and a bunch of other roads in the surrounding areas. I will finalize all the details after i see how much intrest is shown and how many can commit to going. This trip is awesome, with some of the best roads the Southeast US has to offer. When you get there, you pretty much want to ride, eat, sleep, ride, ride, eat, ride...you get the idea. The details i do have are below and are subject to change when (and if) the plans are finalized:

LEAVE: FRIDAY 4/20 EARLY AM
DRIVE TIME: 9 HRS WITH TRAILER (avg truck & trailer 2 tanks will get ya there & 2 will get ya back)

DESTINATION: DAHLONEGA, GA (1 HR N OF THE ATL)

LODGING: ECONO LODGE (a nice pakastani fellow owns it and is cool as hell) Im working him for a group rate...but he will give us all 1ST floor rooms so you can bring ur bike in the room. Will be around $45-50 a night with all taxes and BS...so split a room and ur there for $50 the whole weekend.

RIDE FOR A FEW HRS FRI AFTERNOON, ALL DAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNING

LEAVE: SUNDAY 4/22 EARLY AFTERNOON

As i say, depending on intrest, we can work out the room sharing, rides, trailers and all that....if we get a few going, the trip should cost each person about $150 including ur gas, but no fancy dinners.

Ill be in Indiana at that time, But I definatly want to do it. I can trailer my bike down for those 2 days.

Those vid's looked like fun but I dont think im ready for a ride like this so to who ever makes this trip have fun and be safe....

 

damnitt chad if it wasnt my b-day the day you left i would be there

 

I can't promise anything but if my bike is fixed and I have the money and still east of the mississippi I will be there....


Just a little insight. I spent 3 full days in Deals Gap at the end of last year and my total cost for driving there getting a room for 3 nights and eating was less than $350.
