Default 2002 Audi A4: Proven Power custom exhaust fabrication

The A4 has returned for a new exhaust. He requested we reuse his existing mufflers. Some pics of the car when it came in.

leaky welds

sweet muffler delete

infamous crush bend

muffler and previous welds

All off !

Now time to begin. We wire wheeled the existing Audi factory flange and reused for a good factory seal.

Started with welding a bend to the factory flange then that to a 2.5" to 3" transition.

quick weld pic

Here is the front downpipe section

working a little further added a flex pipe for minimal exhaust movement.

We then flanged and installed the front section and started on the new mid pipe

also tig'd in the hangers

Pic of the routing through exhaust tunnel

We flanged the mid pipe right before the rear axle. Next we had to make a smooth transition for the dual 2.5" section. This is what we came up with.

Now time to hang the existing mufflers starting with drivers side

then completing passenger side

Thanks for looking !
