Default 2002 Team SSP Mitsubishi Lancer: Charge pipe fabrication

Team SSPs 2002 Turbo Mitsubishi Lancer. I was brought charge piping off the car that had a hole in it (dime sized) and also requested welding where some couplers were. So i was unable to take before pics. This was a "bolt on kit" that was purchased years ago and needed some much needed turbo maint..

Before pic: (notice the direction of the airfilter and mass air)

We welded and eliminated a coupler on the upper and lower portion of the cold side charge piping for no more boost leaks ! We didnt have access to a aluminum flange so we had to leave the BOV coupler for now...

We also had to fill a massive hole ! Since the pipes were off the car and fitment was unsure i figured i would put a healthy amount of aluminum to eliminate future issues.

After that, the owner came and picked up what i had completed. The car then was driven over for a new intake pipe to be fab'd.

I started tacking some bends together

checked fitment, then finished welded piece

Welds :

Installed !

Waiting for the owner to take updated photos to post
